From 1941 to 2025
In 1941 the origin of the Red Wing Round Toe was born. It was called the 777 a new pattern that resulted in superior comfort fewer seams and better water proofing. In 1953 the 777 got a brother called the 766, the black heeled sole was replaced by a “cushion crepe” out sole giving it more the look of today. In 1985 the current round toe was born. It has the same seamless heel pattern as the 777 in 1941, because it stood the test of time in comfort and water proofing.
